Goura Pakora – Berlin
Goura Pakora – 100 % vegan, 100 % delicious!
When going to Berlin-Friedrichshain, the first vegan
location you should go and check out is “Goura Pakora”, close to Boxhagener Platz. The large food
& drinks menu is 100% Vegan and 100% Delicious!
In “Goura Pakora” you will find Indian-inspired, Ayurveda cuisine, with an absolutely modern and fresh
style. Indian-inspired you say? Yes, on the menu you will also find falafel, wraps and smoothies. But
that is no reflection on the restaurant’s authenticity. According to the owner, Kristian Unger, it’s
all about food that makes you happy – and that’s exactly what the food is doing.
New visitors should give the Thali-Teller (Thali-Platter) a try, generous portions with lots of
different delicious foods. Of course we should put the emphasis on the Pakora Thali-Teller. With this
platter you will have a chance to try fried, but still light, vegetable pieces, a curry, dahl and
different kinds of chutneys and salads. As a side you can chose between deliciously spiced millet and
aromatic basmati rice.
Still got room for a little more? On the dessert menu you will find Ayurvedic confectionery and various cakes. Ah yes, the dishes are prepared with the principles of the Hare Krishna-inspired “prasadam” cuisine. This means, among other things, that all dishes are not only vegan, but are also prepared without garlic and without onions. Therefore safe to eat before or during a date!
