„Come and sit down, dear guest!“ as Brecht used to say back in the days, and even today you can sit in his favorite restaurant at the Schiffbauerdamm square and enjoy the atmosphere of this warm and cosy place.

Das Brechts

Schiffbauerdamm 6-7, 10117 Berlin, Deutschland

Most of the culinary delights are Austrian cuisine, such as Kaiserschmarrn and Wiener schnitzel, but also less known delicious culinary delights are served here.
Enjoy the classics of the house: Tafelspitz “à la Brecht” in two courses. The first is a consommé made with veal rump with a shoulder boned roulade and root vegetables. The second course: boiled beef in broth, or chive horseradish sauce with potatoes and cream spinach. Delicious!
When you enter the restaurant, you immediately notice the inviting bar, which invites you to an aperitif. As a guest you can choose if you want to retreat into the back area of the restaurant in one of the niches, or prefer to enjoy your meal in the more open atmosphere in the front part of the restaurant.
Das Brecht has a contemporary interior marked by the work and images of Bertolt Brecht.
A small tip: the restaurant is centrally located, which is barely noticeable inside because of the quiet atmosphere, makes it particularly suitable for a quick business lunch.
We wish you a pleasant meal while enjoying the wonderful views of the river Spree.
