San Jose is a high-tech metro region in Silicon Valley with lots going on all the time. Take the light-rail right into downtown and explore all the culture, entertainment, and excitement that San Jose has to offer. You can also visit the Winchester Mystery House, famous for crooked doors, maze-like rooms, and stairs leading to nowhere. Go to Guadalupe Park to see the world's largest Monopoly board. Or visit Hakone Gardens, one of the few completely authentic Japanese gardens in the United States. For a clear view of the stars, check out the Lick Observatory. If you want to visit some great museums, try the Tech Museum, the Rosicrucian Egyptian Museum, and La Galeria in the Mexican Heritage Plaza. San Jose is located in a great area, right near the water in sunny California. It is the gateway to the Valley, being close to Santa Cruz and Monterey.
