Other popular theater venues include Music Hall, featuring a variety of different live performances, Gem Theatre, and the Detroit Opera House, home to the Michigan Opera Theatre and a multitude of other live acts. If you have a more diverse musical taste, consider attending the Detroit International Jazz Festival, the Detroit Electronic Music Festival, or the hip-hop Summer Jamz Festival. For a trip down Detroits musical memory lane, visit the Motown Historical Museum, once the actual home of the founder of Motown music, Berry Gordy, and still with the complete original Recording “Studio A”. Museum enthusiasts should head for the neighborhoods around Wayne State University.
