Once the focus of a television nighttime soap opera, Dallas is the eighth largest city in the United States. For a more traditional style thrill, head west to Arlington. Here you can enjoy the roller coasters at Six Flags over Texas or try water-powered excitement at the Six Flags Hurricane Harbor water park. When you come to Dallas, come hungry. Dallas is famous for three great types of food, like barbecue, authentic Mexican and Tex-Mex cuisine. With names like Red, Hot and Blue and Sammys Bar-B-Q, it isnt hard to find melt-in-your-mouth barbecued ribs, pulled pork or any Texas barbecue specialty.
