There are currently 2200 varieties of wine in the hotel cellars to accompany the French and regional cuisine in the two restaurants, one with a Michelin-star which it has consistently retained since 1969.
The atmosphere is relaxed and friendly with a strong emphasis on good food and wine. The rooms and suites are traditionally furnished, some with delightful views over surrounding vineyards. Dining in the world-renowned Schwarzer Adler restaurant is a must. For simpler, regional cuisine, try Winzerhaus Rebstock, complete with ancient terracotta tiles and wooden tables.
Relax in the rose garden which acts as a sun-trap and provides a distinctly Mediterranean feel. Arrange a visit to the estate s wine cellar, stretching 110 metres into the mountain and taste fully fermented wines, matured in wooden casks.
