The Lounges, Restaurants and the Lounge-Piano-Bar are spacious, clear with vast windows; they are for residents only, except the Restaurant Fran��ais. *** MKANDERSTEG is a small, friendly village-resort, spread over 4 km on a green plateau with meadows, trees, rivers and a tiny lake - enjoy a very original ambiance, not sophisticated. A ramblers paradise around Kandersteg : Three valleys offer a nature protected region up to the crystal glaciers (3600m). Even a trip to the largest glacier of Switzerland is possible (Aletsch-glacier, 2 hrs). *** Best situation for EXCURSIONS : in the middle of the Bernese Oberland and direct access to the south and north of the Alpine mountains (tunnel: train & cars, 15 min.
