hotel.de AG acquires www.hotel.info and launches international evaluation and booking platform

Nürnberg, 31 March 2008 - hotel.de AG, one of the leading online hotel reservation services, acquired all rights for the domain www.hotel.info and thereby took over hotel.info HI GmbH. With this new domain, an international free of charge platform for hotel evaluation and booking purposes has been put online. Besides the hotels’ key information, such as room prices and amenities, customers in search of a room can now rely on hotel evaluations released by hundreds of thousands of guests from all over the world in order to also base their decision hereupon.

Compared to other platforms, www.hotel.info guarantees its users 100% genuine hotel reviews, as only evaluations of guests who recently stayed in the respective hotel are displayed. Evaluation scales as well as individual guests’ comments are shown in the user’s language. In addition to the publication on the multilingual platform, the intention is to forward the comments to the hotels in order to improve quality continuously. In doing so, the hotels will get immediate feedback from their own customers.

After having decided for a particular offer, customers can book the hotel directly online, simply following hotel.info’s slogan "Check & Book". Room allotments are delivered by the hotel.de database providing 210,000 hotels of all categories worldwide, often labelled with "best price guarantee".

The company offers 210,000 hotels worldwide to be booked online. Since January 2007, hotel.de has also been offering conferences. Therefore, the company had taken over the conference data base, the online booking tool and the customer base of intergerma Marketing GmbH & Co. KG. Additionally, all available rates for every single hotel are always displayed (e.g. promotional rates, corporate or weekend rates), so that the customer can choose the lowest or best-fitting rate. This is enabled by hotel.de/TravelRes’ unique integration of the hotels' central reservation systems (so-called CRS) under one consistent user surface.
