The German Corporate Governance Code (the "Code") provides recommendations and suggestions for the management
and supervision of German publicly listed companies. It thus aims to promote the degree of trust placed in
the management and supervision of German publicly listed companies by investors, customers, employees and
the general public. The Code is based in this respect on nationally and internationally recognised standards
of high-quality and responsible company management. The Code has been in force since 2002. The current
